The Department of Economics organized Welcome Spring, Orientation & Farewell Program and Cultural program.

The Department of Economics at Hamdard University Bangladesh recently organized a program named "Welcome Spring, Orientation & Farewell Program and Cultural program." The event was held on 20 February 2023 at the Hamdard University Bangladesh Multipurpose Hall Room, Gazaria, Munshiganj-1510. The program aimed to welcome new students, bid farewell to outgoing students, and award deserving students for their academic achievements.

The Chief Guest of the program was Professor Dr. Faruque-Uz-Zaman Chowdhury, Vice Chancellor of the University. Professor Dr. Md. Amanullah was as a special guest. Sufian Ahammed, Head of the Department chaired the program. Professor Dr. Abul Khair, Treasurer, and Md. Nurul Huda, Controller of Examinations, were also present at the program.

The program started with a welcome speech given by Md. Masud Rana, Lecturer of the Department of Economics. The existing students of the Department welcomed the newcomer students with flowers. Then, Representatives of both the incoming and outgoing students delivered speeches on their behalf. Four students received merit awards for their outstanding academic performance during the semester, and all the farewell students were presented with a crest to recognize their contributions to the Department.

The last segment of the program was a cultural program, which was hosted by the students of the Department of Economics. The students showcased their talents through various cultural performances, including singing, dancing, and drama.

The program was a success and achieved its objectives of welcoming new students, bidding farewell to the outgoing students, and recognizing the academic achievements of deserving students. The cultural program added an entertaining element to the event, making it enjoyable for everyone in attendance. The Department of Economics of Hamdard University Bangladesh should be commended for organizing such a fantastic program.
