Hamdard University Bangladesh celebrated the birthday of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children Day on 17 March 2021 at its campus Hamdard Nagar, Gazaria, Munshiganj. The day was celebrated with cutting a cake, a discussion meeting, and a doa mahfil.

In the discussion meeting, the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan was the chief guest while Treasurer of the University Dr. Chowdhury Md. Babul Hassan was present as a special guest. The Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University Prof. Dr. Abul Khair presided over the meeting. Besides, Dean (In-charge) of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Prof. Dr. M. Liaquat Ali Khan, Dean (In-charge) of the Faculty of Business Administration Dr. Md. Farooq Hossan, Controller of Examinations Md. Nurul Huda, Head of English Department Dr. Md. Abul Kalam Azad, Head of Mathematics Department Dr. Md. Jahirul Haque Munshi, Head of Unani Medicine Dr. Md. Khairul Alam, Head of Ayurvedic Medicine Dr. Babul Akter, Head of CSE Department Engr. Md. Monowar Hossain, all faculty members, officers, and staff were present. The welcome speech was given by the Registrar of the University Dr. Md. Moazzom Hossain.

At the end of the program, a special doa program was held for the salvation of the departed souls of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and all the freedom fighters.
