It is a pleasure to get the opportunity for telling a few words about my University. I have joined Hamdard University Bangladesh a few months ago as an Associate Professor in the Department of English; and now, I have been working as the Head. I am fortunate enough for getting an opportunity to work with a group of skilled people of our Department. Since its inception in 2012, the Department of English of this University has been producing potential graduates who have already shown their talents in various fields of professionals. I would like to urge the existing students of my Department who are doing BA (Hons) in English and MA in ELT to extend their cooperation for running academic proceedings with quality education. It is very mandatory for producing potential English graduates which will pave the ways of their future career prospects. At the same time, I would like to invite the students, who are yet to get themselves admitted to any other university or tertiary institutions at home or abroad, to visit our Department along with their friends and guardians located in the vast green campus of Hamdard University Bangladesh which is situated by the bank of the river Meghna, and take the taste of quality and research education amidst the grandeur of scenic beauty.
The central library of the University provides necessary textbooks and reference books for the Department of English from where teachers and students can borrow their required books. In addition, every semester we purchase new books and journals to promote academic standard of the Department. I would like to suggest the students of my Department to visit our library at the moments whenever they are free, and collect necessary information to make the preparations for their classes and exams.
I am also tempted to tell a few more words about the campus of this University. We are fortunate enough that the University has a large green campus which is divided into two parts by the small river Fuldi. Both sides of the river are decorated by the green landscapes naturally grown with various types of plants and trees.
Visitors and students are requested to feel free to come to the Office of the Head of the Department and share their views in a friendly environment.
